About Meaghan

I am a dedicated mental health counselor committed to creating a safe, compassionate, and collaborative space for healing. With specialized certifications in trauma and grief, I support clients as they navigate some of life’s most challenging experiences. My background includes extensive work in addiction treatment, where I help individuals understand the roots of their struggles and develop sustainable paths toward recovery. In my in-person sessions, I also incorporate trained therapy dogs to provide comfort, regulate nervous-system responses, and support emotional connection. I believe in a holistic, person-centered approach that empowers clients to reclaim their stories, build resilience, and move toward meaningful change.

My path into the counseling profession wasn’t a traditional one, and I take pride in the intentional, steady journey that brought me here. I earned my bachelor’s degree at my own pace, allowing me to gather meaningful life experience along the way that now enriches my clinical work. I went on to complete my master’s degree at The Chicago School of Professional Psychology, where I deepened my understanding of trauma-informed and evidence-based practices. Since then, I’ve continued to expand my expertise through a wide range of professional trainings. I am a National Certified Counselor (NCC), a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP), and a Certified Advanced Grief Counseling Specialist (CAGCS), reflecting my commitment to ongoing growth and to providing the highest level of care.
